Some of the male reproductive system diseases include:

  • Prostatic abscess: the prostate gland becomes accumulated with pus.
  • Prostatitis: the prostate gland swells and gets inflamed. Prostatitis is characterized by pain which may also make it difficult to urinate.
  • Prostate gland enlargement: this is a reproductive system problem that’s prevalent in older men. It’s also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia and it’s characterized by urinary tract, bladder, and sometimes kidney complications.
  • Erectile dysfunction: this is the inability of an older and sexually mature man to maintain or get an erection. Note that this condition occasionally affects over 40% of the males.
  • Hypospadias: it’s a type of congenital condition or a birth defect. Hypospadias patients have the urethra opening located on the penis’ underside and not at the tip of the penis.

  • Hydrocele: it’s a type of swelling that occurs in the scrotum. A hydrocele is caused by fluid accumulating within the sheath which surrounds the testicle.
